2015 Chevrolet Spark EV

Pros: Peppy acceleration; crisp handling and outstanding maneuverability; connectivity and infotainment features

Cons: Limited availability; cramped rear seat; limited cargo versatility; touchscreen controls are sometimes slow to respond

CG Says: For 2015, the Chevrolet Spark EV gets 4G LTE Internet connectivity with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot for the OnStar communication system. In the realm of electric cars, the Spark EV comes off as quite a bargain. Performance is better than that of others near its price, driving range is competitive, and the level of standard equipment is generous. Plus, base prices put it at less than $20,000 after the $7,500 federal tax incentive. Too bad none of this matters to those outside California and Oregon—those are the only two states where Chevrolet is selling the Spark EV, at least for now.
