2015 MKX

2014 Lincoln MKX

Pros: Smooth, refined powertrain provides confident acceleration; classy interior materials; advanced safety features, plenty of front-row passenger space

Cons: Inconsistent, heavy steering feel; complicated touchscreen interface isn’t very user friendly; subpar front-seat legroom; the available panoramic sunroof compromises headroom

CG Says: The 2014 Lincoln MKX gains a Limited Edition Package with unique trim features, but otherwise sees no significant changes forthe new year. MKX delivers almost everything a luxury crossover buyer could want. The 2014 MKX rides well, has good power, and first-class interior appointments. Strikes against Lincoln’s midsize crossover include inconsistent steering feel and its MyFordTouch-derived control interface. Base prices are reasonable, but they quickly skyrocket when costly standalone and packaged options are added. Despite these flaws, MKX deserves serious consideration for shoppers who desire a 5-seat luxury crossover.
