CG Says: The 2014 Cadillac SRX enters the model year with mild trim updates and available “Intellibeam” automatic high-beam headlamps. The SRX earns our kudos for its combination of performance, functionality, and style. The sporty, refined, and fuel-efficient V6 provides ample power, and the fashion-forward styling is dazzling inside and out. Not all of our testers like Cadillac’s CUE touchscreen interface, however—some find it unresponsive and slow to react. Note too that loaded SRXs get pricey. Seek a modestly equipped Luxury model for the optimal blend of creature comforts and dollar value.

Shoppers looking for a more engaging driving experience may want to cross shop the 2014 Cadillac SRX against the likes of the Audi Q5 and Q7, as well as the BMW X5, all of which are sportier in nature, and generally more fun to drive.
