2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport

Pros: Availability of muscular twin-turbo V6; smooth, composed ride; regal interior trimmings for the price

Cons: Not all drivers like CUE touchscreen system; not as nimble as some class competitors; so-so acceleration with base V6

CG Says: XTS occupies a slice of the rather wide price gap between “regular” large cars and premium-large cars and has surprisingly few direct competitors. We like that the XTS offers plenty of room, numerous safety features, near-opulent luxury, and decent driving dynamics, all at the lower end of the premium price point. There are plenty of high-tech features too, but some traditional customers might be turned of by the added complication they bring. Still, this is a car well worth considering if its many strengths meet your needs.
