2016 CR-V

2015 Honda CR-V

Pros: Numerous upgrades for 2015, comfortable seating with good headroom and legroom; clever, well-designed cargo solutions; fine ride and handling balance

Cons: No stand-alone factory options means stepping up to expensive high-end models to get desired features

CG Says: The 2015 Honda CR-V is substantially updated inside and out with new styling, a line-topping Touring trim level, an updated 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) in place of the previous 5-speed automatic, among several other revisions. Also added are a host of safety features, including Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist, and Honda’s LaneWatch monitor. The CR-V’s “just-right” blend of comfort, refinement, passenger room, and cargo versatility is hard to beat, and the long list of worthwhile upgrades for 2015 solidify this compact SUV’s sterling credentials. High-end models are plenty pricey, but the CR-V remains one of the best compact SUVs on the market.
