2015 Pilot

2015 Honda Pilot

Pros: Outstanding space efficiency provides ample passenger and cargo room; Impressive materials and build quality; absorbent ride

Cons: So-so fuel economy compared to some rivals; 5-speed automatic transmission feels dated compared to 6- and 8-speed competitors

2015 Pilot

CG Says: The 2015 Honda Pilot gains a mid-line Special Edition (SE) trim level, but otherwise sees no significant changes. Honda’s midsize SUV delivers a rewarding combination of performance, utility, and passenger accommodations. Pilot’s exterior styling is boxy and “trucky,” but its overall tractability and sense of refinement belie its old-school SUV looks. Even though its basic design dates back to the 2009 model year, Pilot remains a well-executed crossover and one that’s very much worthy of a top spot on any family’s shopping list. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a redesigned Honda Pilot arrive in 2015 as a 2016 model.
