2014 Nissan Armada

Pros: Competitive pricing; front-seat room and comfort; fine visibility thanks to tall driving position and jumbo door mirrors

Cons: Fuel economy; aging design dates back to 2004; high step-in height makes entry and exit challenging for some occupants

CG Says: Nissan’s long-running large SUV feels rather antiquated compared to most of its class competitors, which aren’t particularly cutting-edge vehicles to start with. Armada trails key rivals in 3rd-row comfort and ease of entry and exit. Still, engine performance is laudable, and prices generally undercut those of similarly equipped competitors.
