Lucid’s presence in Chicago highlights how it is expanding its offerings in terms of new and used vehicles, as well as charging convenience with the capability of using Tesla’s stations. The Gravity provides a much-needed SUV, and its specs suggest it will be competitive right out of the gate. The Air continues to stand out for its long-range capability, and the Recharged CPO program should help broaden the brand’s appeal by lowering the cost of entry.

Brendan and Tom welcome Zack Pradel of Shooting Cars to the show. Zack is just back from Japan where he drove a number of the country’s “kei” micro cars. As it has been suggested that kei cars could be the answer to rising new-car sticker prices in the U.S., Zack’s take on these tiny vehicles is especially interesting.

New for the 2024 model year, the TX is about 11 inches longer than the RX, and about 3 inches wider. And while the TX is unchanged  for 2026, that doesn’t mean choosing one is a simple matter.
