Blame the tariffs, even if Audi won’t. For 2026, Audi redesigned its popular and well-regarded Q3 small crossover, and pared the U.S. lineup to just one single trim level. Audi has also taken pains to simplify the variations of other models here in the States, making ordering and maintaining inventory easier on American dealers. This despite limiting consumer choice. That’s OK with us, though, as the single Q3 now available in the U.S. is an awfully good little crossover.

Torque steer occurs when engine torque is delivered unequally to the left and right front wheels. Because those wheels also handle steering, the imbalance generates a net steering moment that the driver feels as a twist through the wheel or a pull to one side. The effect is most noticeable during strong acceleration from low speeds or a standstill. Generally, the effect is most pronounced in lower gears.

And, despite being about as luxurious as any offering in the premium large SUV category, the Lexus LX also boasts certain sensible—even responsible qualities. Consider the LX’s size. Though larger and roomier than premium midsize SUVs, the LX is the tidiest offering in the large segment save for the Audi Q7 and the Range Rover.
