CG Says: Audi’s flagship sedan sees a raft of updates for 2015. Highlights include refreshed front and rear styling, a 15-horsepower increase for the 4.0T engine, an upgrade to the available night-vision system, an available active lane assist system, and an available heads-up display. The A8 (along with its S8 high-performance sibling) more than holds its own in the premium large-car class, which is home to some truly regal machines. The 2015 Audi A8 delivers first-class cabin accommodations and passenger space (especially in extended-length “L” form). The impressive diesel-engine model delivers better economy and impressive long-range cruising capabilities with very little compromise in luxury or power. Our quibbles with the A8 include a ride that can be a bit stiffer and less polished than the best in this class, and the less-than-ideal layout and complicated functionality of the MMI control system.
