The Subaru WRX is a sporty/performance compact sedan with standard all-wheel drive that features active torque vectoring to direct power to the wheel or wheels that need it most in any given situation. The WRX has a 268-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder and offers the option of a continuously variable transmission on Premium and Limited models in addition to a 6-speed manual transmission. The sporty WRX STI boasts a 310-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four and comes solely with a 6-speed manual. Available safety features included pre-collision braking, lane-departure warning, Reverse Auto Braking, blind-spot alert, and rear cross-traffic alert. The base WRX is an intriguing performance-car value that has few direct competitors, and the updates and improvements of its 2015 redesign made it more compelling.
