2015 Chevrolet Cruze

Pros: Availability of diesel model; impressively quiet for the class; good trunk space

Cons: Cramped back seat; uninspiring handling; so-so acceleration; lack of hatchback body style

CG Says: The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze gets an updated front styling and the following connectivity features: Text Message Alerts, Siri Eyes Free functionality for Apple iPhone users, and OnStar with 4G LTE Internet connectivity with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. Cruze shines for its refined drivetrains, solid body structure, and inviting cabin. It’s also one of the quietest vehicles in its class. The Cruze Diesel is an intriguing member of the model lineup. Though we noticed some odd transmission behavior at low speeds, the Cruze Diesel’s overall refinement and decent power make it a worthy competitor against the stalwart Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Even if you’re still wary of diesel, the rest of the Cruze lineup is excellent and well worth your consideration.
