Cons: Prices rise quickly with options; limited rear-seat space, even in Gran Coupe 4-door model; many drivers find engine stop/start feature annoying[/vc_column_text][mk_divider style=”padding_space” margin_top=”10″ margin_bottom=”10″][vc_column_text]CG Says: For 2016, BMW’s 4-Series coupes and convertibles get standard 18-inch wheels, alarm system, and “Sport Line” interior and exterior trim. A revamped Track Handling Package includes upgraded brakes, adaptive suspension, and variable-ratio steering. The ‘Gran Coupe” 4-door hatchback sedan shuffles some standard equipment and can also be had with the Track Handling Package. The ultra-performance M4 gets an available Competition Package that includes adaptive suspension, 20-inch wheels, lightweight seats, sport exhaust system, and a horsepower bump to 444 hp. Also new is a limited-edition, track-ready M4 GTS model with 493 horsepower. As with its 3-Series sedan siblings, the 4-Series’s ride and handling balance is outstanding, and its powertrains supply impressive power with surprisingly good fuel economy. Prices are steep, however… expect to pay a premium over a comparably equipped 3-Series models. The 4-Series Gran Coupe has a confusing name, but it offers sleek styling and hatchback versatility at prices that aren’t out of line with the “true” coupe models. The M4 coupe and convertible offer world-class, track-taming performance and sophistication, albeit at a stiff price premium.[/vc_column_text][mk_divider style=”padding_space” margin_top=”10″ margin_bottom=”10″][mk_content_box heading=”The Facts”][mk_table el_class=”new-review-specs”]
